ROUTEpr lands national event client!
PR and marketing entrepreneur Jackie Phillipson, co-founder of Route PR, Marketing and Events, has provided The Game Fair with the innovative idea of introducing a brand new concept when it takes place at Ragley Hall this July.
The theory being to invite a variety of British Artisan producers, with state-of-the-art products and a great story to tell about their business, to take center stage and share their personal business story at the well-known and well-respected event, as well as a chance to showcase and sample their products.
The opportunity for the invited artisans is free of charge, and takes place in the showcase and demonstration theatre, the artisans also have their own stand in the speaker’s corner for the remainder of the day to sell and promote their products. This brand new section of the Game Fair, known as ‘The Game Fair Good Life’ is being sponsored by The Week.
Artisans taking part include Pothecary Gin, Somerset Charcuterie, Dorset Herbals, The Yorkshire Wagyu Company, Applesby Cheese, Frew & Co. Artisan Ice cream and Fussels Fine Foods. They will all be heading to the event in Warwickshire on the 29th to the 31st July to tell their stories and share their journey into the world of business and artisans.
Said Jackie Phillipson, “Artisans are a right on trend in the food, drink and crafts industry, hence our idea. We see them as a vital part of the British economy in the future, as the manufacturing and export of their brands grow. It was great that the managing director of the Game Fair, James Gower, loved the idea, wanted to try something new for visitors and agreed to run with it this year.”
ROUTEpr are also involved with the new look Cookery School at the event, this is also a first time new venture for the Game Fair and will be presented by Lesley Waters, the TV chef and owner of her own cookery school on the Dorset / Somerset border. Lesley will be teaching a variety of classes each day and using the best of British foods covering brunch, lunch and afternoon tea. Where possible she will be using fish, game and other delicious British products from exhibitors at the fair.
Last but not least ROUTEpr and The Game Fair will also have the Farm shop panel, named, ‘So You Want to Open a Farm shop?’ This is a chance for visitors to learn first-hand, from a panel of experts, led by Michael Mack from FARMA and Savills, all about running a farm shop, with insights from experts representing Welbeck Farm based in Worksop and Pink Pig Farm based in Scunthorpe. Michael Mack will be guiding the panel whilst the farm retail experts will be explaining the do’s and don’ts, and the trends, alongside Frank Woods from NFU Mutual who will give insurance advice.”
Said Jackie Phillipson, “We are delighted to be working with The Game Fair, this is a brand new line up, the public have never been more interested in artisan products, quality local food and drinks, how they are produced, not to mention their provenance, freshness and in traceability. This year’s Game Fair promises to be bigger and better than ever, with brand new features and celebrity involvement, and ROUTEpr are honored to be involved.”
